Attraverso centinaia di anni di storia, vissuti come luogo di potere della Repubblica e di residenza dei Dogi, Palazzo Ducale, dopo un lungo lavoro di restauro strutturale durato dieci anni, si propone non solo come edificio storico, ma anche e specialmente come struttura intelligente, centro di idee e di iniziative culturali e sociali della città e del suo territorio.
Nel Palazzo trovano posto armonicamente gli spazi espositivi inseriti nei più prestigiosi ambienti storici, biblioteche ed archivi, sale per congressi, conferenze e concerti, ristoranti e bar, attività commerciali legate alla tradizione e alla cultura della regione.
Le sale destinate alle attività culturali e congressuali sono dotate di impianti multimediali, sistemi di videoproiezione e traduzione simultanea.

The location
Throughout the centuries the Palazzo Ducale in Genoa was regarded as the seat of power of the Republic and the Doge's residence. After a long and important restoration lasting ten years, the palace is today not only a historical building but also and, above all, an intelligent structure, the beating heart of cultural and social activities of Genoa and its territory.
Inside the Palace the show rooms, the libraries and historical archives, the research and engineering workshops connected to the city are harmonically located in illustrious historical spaces; the halls for congresses, conferences and concerts are placed within the 17th century spaces; an original and young music club can be found in the medieval cisterns, and a café is located in the large vaulted entrance hall of the Palace.
Restaurants, other commercial activities and typical regional craft shops have also found their place in the building.
The rooms reserved for cultural and conference activities are equipped with the most advanced video, multi-media and simultaneous translation systems.
